To help you plan your itinerary, Grahamstown is on the Frontier
Country Route, exactly half way between Durban (850 km) and Cape
Town (880 km), an ideal stopover between the Wild Coast and the
Garden Route. If you fly into Port Elizabeth, make a stopover here
before or after the Garden Route. A 2 or 3 day trip can include Addo
Elephant Park or Shamwari Game Reserve, the Karoo, Grahamstown and
the nearby beaches of Port Alfred.
